According to the structure and working principle of screening machinery, there are roughly the following categories:
1. Fix the screen
The working part is fixed, and the material is screened by sliding along the working face. Fixed screen is one of the most used in concentrator, which is generally used for pre-screening before coarse or medium crushing. It is simple in structure and convenient in manufacture. No power consumption, can directly unload the ore to the screen surface. The main disadvantage is low productivity, low screening efficiency, generally only 50% ~ 60%.
2. Roller screen
The working face is composed of a transverse arrangement of a root rolling shaft, the shaft has a plate, the fine material from the roller or plate between the gap through. The bulk material is driven to one end by a roller and discharged from the end. This kind of sieve is rarely used in concentrator.
3. Cylinder screen
The working part is divided into cylindrical, the whole sieve around the axis of the cylinder, the axis in general is installed into a small dip Angle. The material is fed from one end of the cylinder, the fine grade material is passed through the sieve on the cylindrical working surface, and the coarse material is discharged from the other end of the cylinder.
Cylinder screen speed is very low, smooth work, good power balance. But its sieve easy plugging, screening efficiency is low, small working area, low productivity. It is rarely used as screening equipment in concentrator.
4, plane motion screen
The body oscillates or vibrates in a plane. According to its plane motion trajectory, it can be divided into linear motion, circular motion, elliptical motion and complex motion. Shaker and vibrating screens fall into this category.
Shaking screen is a crank connecting rod mechanism as a transmission component. The motor drives the eccentric shaft to rotate through the belt and pulley, and makes the body reciprocate along a certain direction by the connecting rod. The movement direction of the body is perpendicular to the center line of the support rod or the suspension rod. Because of the swinging movement of the body, the material on the screen surface moves to the discharge end at a certain speed, and the material is screened at the same time.
Shaking screen compared with the above several sieve, its productivity and screening efficiency are relatively high. Its disadvantage is poor dynamic balance. It is now rarely used in concentrators and has been replaced by shakers of more reasonable construction.
