In May 2019, after many discussions and negotiations with Anshan Thermal Energy Research Institute Co., LTD., our company successfully signed a 40,000 tons/year needled coke project of Shanxi Fuma Carbon Material Technology Co., LTD., worth about 5 million yuan. There are two sets of equipment in this project, mainly φ2.8x60m rotary kiln and φ2.0x20m cooling machine.
Needle coke of this project is a raw material for producing ultra-high power electrode for metallurgy, which belongs to the field encouraged by the state. Due to the serious shortage of domestic production capacity, the super - grade needle coke needed for the production of ultra - high power graphite electrode is still monopolized by foreign countries. The project consists of raw material pretreatment unit, delayed asphalt coke unit and calcination unit, as well as oil tank farm and other supporting facilities. It can produce extra high grade needle coke. In addition, the delayed asphalt coke produced in the production of needle coke can not only be used to further produce high-quality needle coke, but also can be sold on the market separately. It is also a raw material for the production of lithium battery anode materials, which has important significance for the supply of ultra-high power electrode and lithium cathode materials in China.
