The rotary kiln is fired directly with coal, flue gas, coal gas, or natural gas. With this technology, the recovery rate of molybdenum oxide exceeds 98%, the residual sulfur content in the roasted molybdenum oxide meets regulatory standards, and coal consumption is 400–450 kg per tonne of product.
