As the most important equipment in the roasting process, the energy-saving rotary kiln for molybdenum iron roasting has matured through several technological updates. However, in actual operation, due to the limitations of its internal structure, there are several drawbacks and problems:

1. There is a high temperature difference between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder, and an expansion device needs to be installed. This structure may experience welding damage after prolonged use.
2. The pouring material at the expansion device needs to reserve expansion gaps, and the deformation of the cylinder at this location is concentrated due to thermal expansion, which makes the pouring material easy to fall off and damage, thereby causing erosion and deformation of the cylinder.

After long-term use, the insulation material will carbonize, making it difficult to repair or replace the insulation material. The entire inner cylinder and casting material need to be moved, and the inner cylinder needs to be destroyed and remade, resulting in a long construction period and difficulty.
4. The insulation layer at the expansion joint is thin, resulting in poor insulation effect; The annular support flange of the inner cylinder is thermally conductive, but due to the above two reasons, an annular high-temperature zone appears on the outer cylinder.
5. The utilization rate inside the cylinder is not high, as the output is proportional to the square of the effective inner diameter of the kiln body, so its output is not high.
The new energy-saving rotary kiln has successfully solved the above problems by changing the structure of the rotary kiln cylinder air duct and insulation layer. Compared with previous energy-saving rotary kilns, it has the following advantages:


1. Rotary kilns of the same specifications have an increased effective inner diameter. Equipment of the same specifications can increase production by more than 20%.
2. The interior is a monolithic structure without expansion devices, and there is no situation of welding damage to the cylinder.
3. The entire cylinder expands uniformly without concentrated expansion and contraction positions, avoiding the problem of local detachment of the casting material. And increasing the thickness of the casting material to 120mm greatly improves the service life of the casting material.

4. The insulation layer is set on the outside of the cylinder, and replacement or maintenance of the insulation layer does not require moving the internal cylinder and casting material. It can be replaced from the outside, making construction simple and fast.
5. Insulation construction is carried out on the outer side of the entire cylinder for better construction effect and better guarantee of its insulation effect.
6. Use the hot air after heat exchange to enter the rotary kiln, further increasing the equipment's hourly output.
7. More suitable for retrofitting old products.
